子宮とキンタマを巡る壮大なダンス作品！
2021年に韓国国立現代舞踊団（KNCDC）からの委嘱で下島が制作した『黙れ、子宮』を、KAAT神奈川芸術劇場、KNCDC、そしてケダゴロによる日韓二国間の三者共同制作としてリクリエーションし、新作として日本と韓国の両国で上演した作品。
「私には生まれつき子宮がありません。子宮が形成されなかったのではなく、この世に子宮を持ち込まないことを私が選択し、母の胎内で自ら子宮を取り外して産まれてきました。『胎内で自ら選択した』ということ。これは韓国の数え年の文化にインスピレーションを得て後から発見したのです。
2011年3月、18歳の私に医者は言いました。『あなたにはキンタマがあるかもしれない』。震災の真っ只中、私の身体の中でキンタマが大きく揺れていました。
“あると思っていたものがなく、ないと思っていたものがある” 。この＜欠落＞と＜余分＞の感覚が、『私は女である』ことをなぜか強く自覚させました。」 下島礼紗

A Grand Dance Production Exploring Wombs and Testicles!
"Shut Up Womb" was originally commissioned by the Korea National Contemporary Dance Company (KNCDC) and premiered in November 2021. It focuses on Shimojima’s own physicality. The 2024 version was recreated as a Japan-Korea co-production by KAAT Kanagawa Arts Theatre, KNCDC, and KEDAGORO, and was performed as a new piece in both Japan and Korea.
I was born without a womb. However, it's not that my womb wasn't formed originally. I decided not to bring my womb into this world, and I removed my womb in my mother's body and was born into this world. I discovered this idea of "making my own choice in my mother's body" through inspiration from Korean age culture.
In March 2011, when I was 18 years old, a doctor told me, "You might have testicles." During the Great East Japan Earthquake, my testicles were swinging around violently inside my body.
"Things that I thought were there are not there, and things that I thought were not there are."
This feeling made me strongly aware that "I am a woman."

今宵お目に掛けますは、神出鬼没の珍妙な三頭犬。その姿たるや冥府の番犬ケルベロスと瓜二つ。しかもコチラの三つの頭、ティアラ輝く古今の妃。天地時空をグニャリミシリと掻き分けて、国の因果が国に報い、生まれいでたるこの姿。人か獣かマヤカシか、誰の所為とは言わないが、「代」が「君」ならば「君」が「代」だ。一に「平ワンッ！」二に「平ワンッ！」三四がなくて五に「平ワンッ！」。国の泰平吠え司る誠に貴き三つの首が、国の図体ひっくり返し、ベロベロ戯れ奇奇怪怪。ヨダレまみれのフィクション・フュージョン・イリュージョン・チチンプイプイ国体論。

“This is KEDAGORO's theory of the nation, which disrupts the existence of modern Japan.”
This is a dance piece by KEDAGORO that takes the theme of Japan as a "nation (KOKUTAI 国體)".
KEDAGORO, who has been working on creative works based on historical and political events, travels freely through the history of Japan in this piece, moving between fiction and reality related to the theory of the nation, and confronts Japan's "nation" from an entirely different angle.

一九八二年、愛媛県松山市で元同僚ホステスを殺害。犯行後、5 4 5 9 日間に及ぶ整形逃亡劇を繰り広げ、一九九七年、公訴時効成立二十一日前に逮捕された女。決して実録ではない。地球という檻に幽閉された女の実存が、重力の中を彷徨い、戯れ、抗い、逃亡を図る。

A woman who murdered her ex-colleague hostess in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture in 1982, cosmetically shaped her face 7 times after the crime, and escaped for 5459 days, and was arrested 21 days before the 1997 prosecution statute of limitations.
This piece is not a real record of this case.
The existence of a woman imprisoned in the cage called "Earth" wanders within her gravity, playing, resisting, and trying to escape.
“Because Kazcause” (premiered in 2021/Tokyo) has been reconstructed into a “re-creational edition” and will be performed in three Japanese cities: Akita, Tokyo, and Shizuoka.

本作は、2014年4月16日、大韓民国の海上で同国の大型客船「セウォル号」が転覆・沈没した事故に取材した舞台作品。作者や演者自身が体験的に隔たれた歴史的事件との＜距離＞のなかに創造的な関わりの回路を見出そうと試みてきたケダゴロ。＜私ではない誰か＞の現実に関わり合う表現することの倫理の臨界点を問う。
これは「芸術作品」と言えるのでしょうか？観客の存在が舞台上の出来事を「作品」に変える。
あの日、沈みゆく船をただ傍観することしかできなかった人々のように。
あなたはこの作品の共犯者となる。

連合赤軍やオウム真理教の事件に取材し、これを芸術団体における密室的な人間関係などに照らして、集団における「狂気」の構造を主題化した作品。国内外のフェスティバルに多数招聘される。テーマもさることながら、ダンサー達が大きな氷のブロックを素肌で抱きかかえ、平手打ちで全身を赤く腫れあがらせる姿が各地でセンセーショナルに賛否を呼んでいる。
「『総括』の名の下に、多くの同志をリンチし殺害した、連合赤軍事件。到底理解しがたい、この事実。無礼を承知で、私に宿った感覚を素直に視覚化してみる。この事件からインスピレーションを受けた私の、勝手なイデオロギーの創作。稽古場では、生み出された曖昧な物事をイデオロギーで正当化し、仲間たちと共に本番を目指してきた。それが振付家の仕事だと思っているからである。だがこれは、『ダンス』というロマンチックな行為に身を捧げたいと熱望した馬鹿な人間の、現実的には全く無意味な行為かもしれない。それでも私はヒーロー（革命戦士）になりたい。」 下島礼紗

This piece was inspired by the dark side of Japan, the United Red Army incident and the Aum Shinrikyo incident. From there, I explored the emergence of ideology in a certain group and the mass madness that occurs within a dance company. This piece has been invited to many festivals both in Japan and abroad.The performance in which the performers hold large blocks of ice and hit each other on the cheeks and buttocks has generated a sensational debate in various countries.
*United Red Army Incident: In the 1970s, young people who were engaged in revolutionary movements set up hideouts in snowy mountains for armament training. At that time, a lynching murder case in which friends killed each other.
* Aum Shinrikyo Incident: The incidents caused by the occult religious group "Aum Shinrikyo" from the late 1980s to the mid-1990s. They caused many incidents such as lynching murders within the cult and indiscriminate terrorist attacks on the Tokyo subway.

踊ってもよかですか。
ケダゴロが主催した第二回公演。雑司ヶ谷鬼子母神堂（人間の子供さらい、食べてしまう鬼の母神を祀る寺院）の境内を借りた野外公演。境内地中に埋没していた陶器などのガラス片でダンサーたちの身体は血だらけになった。

“Mom, Can we dance here?”
The second performance was organized by KEDAGORO.
It was an outdoor performance in the grounds of Kishimojin-do (a Japanese temple that worships the mother god of demons who kidnap and eat human children). At that time, the performers' bodies were covered in blood from pieces of glass such as pottery that were buried in the grounds.

諦めんね、ここしかなかよ。
母子間の情愛における暴力性をテーマにケダゴロの旗揚げ公演で上演した作品。ケダゴロのユニフォームであるオムツもここから生まれた。20人分の衣装を揃えるお金がなかったため、20枚入りで販売されていた成人用オムツを衣装として採用。
6m×6mの四角い空間で20名の演者が出演。ケダゴロの”密室的共同体”のはじまり。

”Give it up, you can only stay here.”
This was Kedagoro's inaugural performance, and was themed around the violence of love between mother and child. Kedagoro's uniform, the diapers, were also born here. As we were poor students and didn't have enough money to buy costumes for 20 performers, we used adult diapers that were sold in packs of 20 as costumes.
20 performers performed in a 6m x 6m square space. This was the beginning of Kedagoro's "closed community."
sky - 台湾版（2023）

ケダゴロの初期代表作『sky』を、台湾・萬座暁劇場の「Want to Dance Festival 2023」からの委嘱により、下島と現地の公募出演者が協働で再構築・上演した作品。本作では、初演版の構造を保持しつつ、上演地である台湾の社会的文脈を取り込み、作品をスピンオフ的に展開するという新たな創作手法が試みられた。およそ1ヶ月半にわたる現地での滞在制作は、下島と出演者との対話を基に進められ、日本統治時代に建設された旧製糖工場を再利用した劇場「萬座暁劇場」にて上演された。作中では、台湾人キャストが下島の尻を叩くという演出が含まれており、この表現が歴史的文脈と交錯することで、大きな議論と賛否を巻き起こす結果となった。

2020年コロナ禍、「cont・act Contemporary Dance Festival」（シンガポール）が主催する多国間のアーティスト交流プロジェクト「Grey Space」で出会ったインドネシアのダンサーであるダンサーモ・ハリヤントと制作したコラボレーション作品。2020年から約2年間、オンラインで対話し、2022年「cont・act Contemporary Dance Festival」でワークインプログレスを実施。2023年、同フェスティバルと「『踊る。秋田』国際ダンスフェスティバル」の共同制作で完全版としてリクリエーションし、シンガポール、インドネシア、日本（秋田）の3ヵ国で上演。
「Japanese」（日本人）、「Javanese」（ジャワ人）。スペル上はたった一文字しか違わないにも関わらず、似て非なる二つの民族。日本での滞在制作において秋田の郷土芸能である駒踊りと獅子踊りを共に学び、両国のアーティストが双方に感じる微妙な違和感を手掛かりにしながら、「文化的共存」という社会的お題目に、身体に根差した切り口で新たな視座を投げかける。

恐れを知らぬ二人の女性振付家が対峙する時、革命が待ち受けている。欲望に満ちた黙示録的な世界で、二人の挑戦的なファム・ファタール（宿命の女）の原始的な追求によって楽園が開かれる。

This is a collaborative piece with Hong Kong dancer Wong Pik Kei. The piece was created during residency in Akita (Japan) and Hong Kong, and presented at H.D.X (Hong Kong Dance Exchange) in 2022. It was a valuable creative opportunity to encounter the various political backgrounds of Hong Kong.
Hong Kong dance rebel vs. Japan's enfant terrible of choreography: when two fearless female choreographers come face-to-face, a revolution awaits. In the desire-filled apocalyptic world, paradise is wide open for two defiant femme fatales' primitive pursuits. Warning: a risqué work where physical chemistry and spiritual climaxes overflow.

私はお母さんの体の中に子宮を置いてきました
下島が韓国国立現代舞踊団（KNCDC）に委嘱を受け彼女自身の身体性にフォーカスを当て、2021年11月に発表した作品。KNCDC's Asian Choreographer Project の一環として、「My family are off-limits（家族は立ち入り禁止）」という公演テーマのもと創られたこの作品は、韓国3都市にて上演し、「韓国ダンス界に強烈な印象を与える問題作」として好評を博した。※本作は2024年、KAAT神奈川芸術劇場とKNCDC、ケダゴロの三者共同制作事業として日韓両国でリクリエーション版が上演されました。 ▶ KAAT×ケダゴロ×韓国国立現代舞踊団『黙れ、子宮』（2024）
「私には子宮がありません。しかし、元々子宮が形成されなかったのではなく、もうこれ以上『愛』による欲望・争い・分断を生まない為に、母の体の中で子宮をこの世に持っていかないことを決意し、自らの子宮を取り外しました。
私は、自らの子宮について、自国である日本では語ったことがありませんでした。この作品は、異文化の交わりであるからこそ、『同じ文化背景を持つ者同士では語れないこと』を超えた共有があり得るのです。

Shimoshima was commissioned by the Korea National Contemporary Dance Company (KNCDC) to create this piece, which focuses on her own physicality and was unveiled in November 2021. Created as part of KNCDC's Asian Choreographer Project under the performance theme "My family are off-limits," the piece was performed in 3 cities in Korea. "I left my womb in my mother's body."
I have no womb. However, it is not because my womb was not formed from the beginning. In order to not reproduce the cravings, quarrels and divisions born out of ‘love', I decided not to bring my womb into this world in my mother's body and removed my womb. Until now, I have never spoken about my womb in Japan. This piece joins cultures together so there is an exchange beyond “the story that cannot be shared with the people who had identical cultural backgrounds”. Shimojima Reisa

オムツをはいたサル（2017）

栗本慎一郎著『パンツをはいたサル〜人間とは、どういう生物か〜』（1981, 現代書館）に着想を得て制作されたソロパフォーマンス。栗本は、ヒトを「裸のサルが余分にパンツをはいた存在」とし、性行動・法律・道徳・宗教などを「パンツ」という表現で置き換えてヒトの行動を説明している。本作において、特に「宗教」に視点を向け、1995年にオウム真理教が起こした「地下鉄サリン事件」にテーマを接続し、システム化された人間の生態系に問いを投げかけるもの。人間の進化と退行性を見つめなおし、自ら排泄を処理できない存在＝おむつをはく者の視点から、「パンツ」を履いた人間の愚行を模倣し、皮肉をこめて可視化する試み。世界6カ国、9都市にて上演された、下島のソロ代表作。
「ヒトはサルが裸になっただけではなく、パンツをはいてそれを脱いだり、脱ぐ素振りで雄を誘ったり、おかしな行動をシステマティックにとっている。しかし、私はまだ『オムツ』をはいている。すなわち、『脱げないパンツ』をはいている。脱ぐときは取り替えるときだけ。実は、これを心地よいと思っている。私は人間なのか、サルなのか、どちらでもないのか。いつかは人間らしく、厳かなパンツをはいて、誇らしく脱ぎ捨てながら死ぬのが私の夢だ。だからまず、この虚構の舞台でパンツをはいてみようと思う。」 下島礼紗

Monkey in a Diaper（2017）

This solo performance was inspired by Shinichiro Kurimoto's book "Monkey in a panties - What kind of creature are humans?" (1981). Kurimoto describes humans as "naked monkeys with extra panties on," and explains human behavior by replacing sexual behavior, law, morality, religion, etc. with the term "panties." In this piece, Shimojima focuses on "religion" in particular, and links it to the "Tokyo subway sarin gas attack" carried out by the Aum Shinrikyo cult in 1995, questioning the systematized human ecosystem. It is an attempt to reexamine human evolution and degeneration, imitating the foolish acts of humans wearing "panties" from the perspective of humans who cannot dispose of their own excrement - humans who wear diapers - and visualizing them with irony towards humans.
This is Shimoshima's representative solo work, which has been performed in 9 cities in 6 countries around the world.
Humans wear panties, take them off, and lure males by pretending to take them off; they engage in strange behavior in a systematic way. But I am still wearing a "diaper." In other words, I am wearing "panties that cannot be taken off." The only time I take them off is to change. In fact, I find this comfortable. Am I a human, a monkey, or neither? My dream is to die someday like a human, wearing dignified panties and proudly throwing them off. So, first I think I will try wearing panties on this fictional stage.
